Yeah, same deal if it came here to Utah; winter would not be kind to it.

My parents bought a 1981 GL station wagon new off the lot shortly after I was born (and it ended up being one of the cars I learned to drive in). I remember my dad taking immaculate care of that thing in my younger years, but eventually the Utah winters gave it the signature Subaru marks.

They finally traded up for a new Forester in 2000 or '01 after putting almost 300k miles on it.

That was a fun little car.
